Title: bow elk-rifle elk

Why wouldn't it be possible and acceptable? I guess I don't get what you're asking ???

A lot of people hunt elk with a bow and deer with a rifle. I think they like the fact that elk can be hunted with a bow in September and called into range.

That is exactly what I do. I love hunting elk with a bow because it allows me to hunt during the rut and rifle for deer because then I can hunt with my old man who doesn't bow hunt.

Post by: 7mag. on September 16, 2010, 01:24:35 PM: No problem at all. I often switch the weapon/season from year to year. This year I have an archery elk tag and a rifle deer tag. Lots of people do it, and the other way around too.
