Title: My 6x6 Idaho Bull...
Post by: blacktail7 on September 26, 2010, 08:09:57 PM: Just got back from our Idaho elk hunt the other night, we had a great time! Beautiful country, good friends, and even a couple big bulls made it a trip to remember. Unfortunately for us though we actually saw more wolves than bulls during our time there, 8 totaling to be exact on three different occasions. :bash: Despite our canine competition we still managed to fill one of our three tags. My friend Kevin from Idaho called this bull into 6 yards with his primos hyperlip. I made a good shot through the front shoulder and he went down within sight. That was the closest id ever been to a rut crazed slobbering school bus with horns, and to say i was excited would be an understatement! I owe everything to my friends Cliff and Kevin, without them this experience would not have become reality for me, so thank you guys! I do find it funny though that an animal that we could run into multiples of on three different occasions (wolves) could be on the endangered species list :bdid: seems pretty dumb to me.
