Title: Sterile bull?
Post by: jstamp on September 28, 2010, 12:02:31 PM
I have been watching this bull the last 2 years. He has never had cows with him, won't respond to any calls and just recently shed his velvet. He is an old bull. He's a 5x5 about 45 inches wide, but the horns aren't really big. He does have kinda some goofy looking horns though. I don't have any pics of him, as i watch him from 250 to 300 yards away, and i don't have a good enough camera to take good pics. just wondering if anyone on here has any thoughts about what the problem is. I see him almost daily, and can't figure out what's wrong with him. I think i'm gonna have the kid shoot him on opening day of rifle season just to see what's going on.  :dunno:

Let us know what you find out after your son fills his tag.

sick - hoof rot maybe.

or maybe gay?  Does he dress up for Mardi Gras with something that is just a little too much?

Can you see a nut sack? Could be a cow w/horns. :dunno:

Could be old age.   Sometimes bucks and bulls will quit breeding and enjoy the solo life.  We could probably learn something from them.
