I'm new to cams this year so i was needing some info. I have had a cam up on the Olympic peninsula for about 6 months. At first i had around 30 different does (no bucks) and 4 different beer. As the months went on i got less and less pics. Is this normal for things to move around to different areas? I have hunted that spot for 10 years and have taken 2 bears and 10 bucks 4 of them are on my wall :) Any one have any thoughts on this. I know they are their! Oh and it is a low land area so they i would think are not migrating.
Thanks and great board!

first off welcome to the site. critters move around so much its hard to say whats going on. i know some areas with a higher concentration of big predators. They will move the deer and elk out of some areas. don't know if that is the case for you, but could be.
o and any place that has 4 diffrent beer's will be a good place to hang out :chuckle: welcome :hello:

well the last month bow hunting has started, bear hunting has gone of for 2 months now. so you may be having issues with other hunters pushing the animals into different areas. maybe areas where you just don't want to go but they will to hide. maybe there is a lot of human activity going on near it that may be scaring them away? logging, construction?

OK I think i have found out why I'm not getting pics! The stupid cam reads 75% batt life but when i checked to see if they are taking pics they would not wake up! >:( So i replaced the batts and worked fine! Going out Friday to see if their are pics now. I hope that was the reson!
