Title: Seen fist flocks of snow geese today
Post by: seaduckhunter on September 28, 2010, 09:25:39 PM: Seen to separate flocks an hour apart of snows flying over this evening. It makes get excited that the season is so close.

Post by: h2ofowlr on September 29, 2010, 12:25:17 AM: The migration is starting. I could hear some high flying pitchy calls earlier this evenning. Probably some of the Kalamath Falls / California birds. The snows should start arriving any day now in the Skagit / Snohomish bay.

Post by: PatoLoco on September 29, 2010, 09:24:30 PM: Yea, h20, I havnt seen any flocks in fields either. Last week there was a loner with about 8 honkers in that hughes field across from washington alder. The ones we saw yesterday were pretty low over the south fork delta.

Have been hearing and seeing them for two weeks on the Long Beach Peninsula. So cool to here them.
