Title: washington regulations on muzzeloaders
Post by: rock on September 29, 2010, 05:40:18 PM: whats are the regs. for which muzzeloaders you are allowed to use? can you use an inline 209 primer with a scope during general firearms? what bout scopes? i am from indiana so jw cuz my cousin found a muzzeloader but its an inline and he wants to use it in washingotn for hunting but i heard somwhere that inlines where illegal in washington

muzzleloading firearms used during a modern firearm season are not required to meet ignition, sight or double-barrel restrictions

Me-thinks you're good to go, at that point, its basically a modern firearm anyway :P

Post by: carpsniperg2 on September 29, 2010, 09:10:43 PM: inlines are legal. pending they use the correct igniton system. you can use the 209 primers and scopes in the modern season. you have to buy a modern firearms deer tag to do so. the the regs are on line as well as in the handouts. they will answer all the questions

If you want to use it during modern firearm season - 209, scopes, and closed breaches are all fair game.

You must buy the correct tag and hunt the correct season to match the tag. best of luck

That's about the cleanest summary I've seen on it. I was trying to explain it to some friends a couple of years ago from Minnesota... it took a couple of hours and a bottle of whiskey to explain.
