Found out today my 16 year old son who lives in Ohio won't be able to join me for my Lick Creek hunt, kind of bummed. I was really looking forward to his companionship. Speechless tonight.

sorry to hear about that. time spent with friends and family in the woods is a huge part of hunting for me. good luck on you hunt, hope you get into them.

bad news for sure, good luck on your hunt and take pic's for your son

that's to bad to hear! does he try to make it every year or was this his first? I going to assume that he is there with his mom ( sorry if this a wrong assumption) if this is the case I pitty you I don't think I could have one of my kids live that far away! good luck on your hunt! Might see you up there if your going to be at the clearwater guard station too. I will be just down the road outside the forest.

This would have been his first elk hunt with me and a special one at that since that unit is basically a once in a life premier tag. And yes, he lives there with my ex.

kidnap him . thats bs!!!!!! >:( :bash:

That is a bummer, what was the reason?
Maybe you could set up a hunt in the state he lives in? NO KIDNAPING! He may come on his own, after asll he's 16.
