Are there any public areas to hunt elk on the east side of Mashel GMU 654?

Copper Creek...........and it can hold a few nice bulls.

sure just go in to elbe hills find a gate and start walking just stay low away from the atv road that will be the 9 road.

Thanks for the input.  What about up by carbonado?  or is that mostly private and hancock land?

have not been up by carbonado for along time, but it is mostly handcock. the other guys are correct, at the top of copper creek and elbe hills. are u riffle or ML. i got another spot but that is small but close. pm me if u nee more.

There is some public land up there. Real thick and hard to hunt. Mostly gated though.
