Title: Cleaning tape residue from antlers.....
Post by: Jeremy S on October 08, 2010, 07:45:24 AM: I have an old set of antlers that was my grandfather's that I would like to mount up. The skull plate cracked in half sometime within the last 40 years and someone in the family duct taped them together and threw them in a box. They have great color because they have been in storage and I want to keep them that way. I washed them with warm water but I cant get the tape residue off. I'm scared to use solvents because I don't want to discolor the them. Any suggestions?

Seriously though, I use goof off on all kindsof stuff and not had it ever remove color. Its awesome.

Guess I missed the joke behind muleysniper, don't even really know who he is?? It is what I have used to remove residue from antlers before I have mounted them and never had a problem with it.

Ok, honestly that was funny now that I got it. Was a long nite with the lil one. So was kind of off my guard today
