Anyone familiar with permits and how they work?
My son drew a youth antlerless deer permit, we received a card in the mail saying that this "permit must be kept on your person while hunting"... it has his name and type of permit it is, wild ID etc... no tag? Is that it?

You should have received your tag when you paid for the license. You have to buy a deer tag in order to apply for a special permit. When hunting he needs to have the permit and the tag on his person.

Your deer tag that comes with the license, doesn't permit a doe with out the special hunt post card. You have to tag it with your tag not the post card(special permit)

I see, his regular season deer tag coupled with the permit closes the deal. I was concerned he was suppose to get an "antlerless" tag along with it.
Thanks

Yep you got it.

Good luck to you guys ;)

Rickyrebar, glad you asked about this. I would have been the north central part of the state with my boy who has second tag, with just the card we recieved that says to carry this with you. I got to Dennis Co. today in Raymond and got the tag. Bobcat thats why this site is great because there is always somebody willing to help. Thanks
