So what exactly happened?

Guy hits his cam on his tree stand while goofing off. I saw a video of a guy with a crossbow do the same thing.

Thanks Kain, watched it a few times (without volume - @ work) and still couldnt figure out what had happened. Didnt realize it took so little to mess your bow up!

Hey...they are having a good time in the field with friends.... :dunno:
I like the video. It beats being all pissed off.
-
i thought it was hilarious. that guy's laugh cracks me up.
-
that's damn funny, the camera mans laugh reminds me of precious pup

I'd still be saying a few Sailor words!!! Must be nice to be able to laugh off 700 bucks. If I went home and told the wife I broke my bow and needed a new one she'd be sayin' even more Sailor words than me.

That would suck, but it isn't like he is going to need to buy a new bow. He can get new limbs, axles, cams, etc if anything was messed up in the derailment of the string and cam. Might cost him a few hundred bucks to get it fixed or maybe nothing depending on the pro shop he goes too.

Hahaha Thats really funny, it beats getting all pissed off and having a terrible time out hunting

Hadn't thought about a "minor" problem. My mind immediately went to "worst case" scenario. Which is usually what happens to me. Never can have the "minor", cheap fix problem. Mine are always catastrophic and big dollar. Hopefully you're right and he only had to spend a hundred or so.

Speaking of idiots, I ashamed to admit it but, this reminds me of loosing my 1940's sidebyside off the top of my car going down the highway. I stuck it on top of the car 'cause my dog was sort of acting up, and I had a few birds to dress. So I load everything up after I'm all done, and away we go. 55 mphs per hour down the highway I hear a strange noise on the roof of the car. Just then I remember, but its too late, my heart sank as I watched my gun hit the ground and turn into pieces all over the road. All I could do is laugh. A few weeks later and a big gunsmith bill later she shoots just fine.

I believe the guy went to full draw and got too close to the tree stand before he released. At full draw the limbs compress. When he released, the limbs went back to their original position, impacting the metal tree stand at whatever his draw weight was (50-70 LBS). That is alot of force!

That was pretty good. :chuckle: At least he was able to laugh about it!

:chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:The way they were laughing I was wondering what else was in those treats Besides the rice crispy s. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
