Title: ML coyote
Post by: KLRKeith on October 15, 2010, 01:45:01 PM: Well I was targeting Mountain Lion but this was the second coyote that ran in and attacked my mojo decoy so I shot this one. Fred your foxpro blue jay drove'em crazy. I had every jay in that valley above the speaker and decoy going nuts.
It was quite the show. Thanks for letting me use it.

Lyman Great Plains .54cal/ patched round ball/ 90grains of FFg goex black powder/51 steps.

Dear Hunter,
Because you have reported hunting in or near an area where wolves occur, WDFW wants to remind you to be extra careful of your target if you intend to harvest coyotes. The gray wolf is protected under both federal and state law and may not be shot or killed. Wolves are larger than coyotes, weighing 80-120 pounds versus 20-50 pounds for coyotes. Wolves also have relatively shorter, rounder ears and a broader muzzle than coyotes. These and other differences between wolves and coyotes are shown in the following illustration, which also appears on page 73 of the 2010 big game hunting rules pamphlet.
