Title: Taneum Question
Post by: JCorvette on October 15, 2010, 04:14:04 PM
I'm taking my Uncle (74) this year for Modern Elk up in the Taneum. We used to hunt around Peoh Pt. Along time ago (20+ yrs. ago) when the season was weeks long and not A week long. I was thinking of heading up around the Hicks Butte area, but not sure if this would be too high elevation or should we stay down lower? I'll be footin it around but I see on Google Earth alot of clearcut area for him to watch up there.

Google earth is not up to date in that area. The cuts are tall, hard to see up top. Saw more elk down lower

Start high then work lower. They get pushed down as pressure increases
