I agree..They scare the poop out of You when bow hunting. They really explode out of them trees..I used to hit them with my rubber bird thumper..Always kindof fun plus made a guy kindof feel like getting even.

I should have made myself more clear (common error that I have). What I really wanted to convey was how cool it is to watch a "real" cowboy (and cowgirl in this scene) workin' cattle 6000 feet up a mountain on horseback. It was lightly raining and BIG thunder-clouds were rollin in fast as this cowgirl/cowboy team moved the small herd off the mountain.
I'm NOT a fan of cattle bringing in diseases that effect my elk!!! Sheep either! But again it's cool to see a drive.
This drive was up in the hills above Buckhorn Ranch in Northeastern Oregon. The ranch, by the way is for sale. A cool $40 million will get you 38,461 acres of some of the most beautiful country in the world. Retired Chief Petty Officer pay won't cut it unfortuneatly...
Here's the link if your wallet is fat and you're interested in becoming a modern cowboy!

Wow kind of a bad idea there. Those blunts do a lot of damage and bruising.

:jacked: I see how this works... Not that I mind much as I just spent 1/2 an hour looking this property over. What a way to spend 30 minutes of your life dreaming and drooling. Thanks for adding this.

Great photos, looks like a very close call.. They can be a pain in the butt for sure.. :yike:

I got jumped one year turkey hunting in the blues. "Don't worry, they will just leave you alone" my buddy says. I shat my pants and went back to camp.

What diseases are you referring to?

You wouldn't have gotten a picture if you got in with my rodeo cattle. :lol4: They will flat take you out and camp on ya. :yike:

I like range cattle just another one those things where most people benefit yet most people bitch. Some of those old high headed cows will stomp a mud hole in you quicker than a bull, I know from exp.
-
My equiptment was so freakin slow(20 plus years ago) half the time the arrow didnt even make it to the cow..And when it did it was like getting hit with a pine cone.
No.No.
Wouldnt have even thought about hitting them with any of those fancy bows for cryin out loud..That would leave a mark..
-
I see alot of cows usually but this year I did see a Bull and took this shot of him. I didn't get close enough for him to charge I give them space. ;)

Man BurrHead that Boy right there is some serious stuff..What a Stud..

It sure was. I told my daughter to stay in the truck and this is the look I got. :chuckle:
