well the morning out started pretty bad..got out to my normal honey hole and to my suprise someone beat me there...this has never happened..i was out there 2hrs before first light...so i proceeded down to the next hole...someone there..i couldnt believe it...as i continued on every spot for the next mile was taken...i have never in my life seen so many people hunting this area...i usually have just about the whole place to myself except for the few road hunters...so i back tracked to the only landing that was free that over looked a nice clear cut and parked there till light...i had 3 hunters on both sides of me...but i figured they'll do the same as always and look for an hour and leave cause they dont see anything...well after about 10min i spot a small forky and wave my cousin over to shoot it but hes to slow with settin up and it slowly walks over the ridge towards the next hunters and about that time an old man, his wife and daughter come walkin off the landing and spook 4 does back over to us but no 2 pt..wtf where did he go..i figured for sure he would spook over to us...well after a half hour and to no avail the buck doesnt show back up..about that time i spot 2 of the does that they spooked grazing on the next hill side...so my dad and cuz work their way above them and they spot 2 more big bodied deer...my cuz said he could see the rump of one and it has nuts but the head is hidden..it disapears without bein postive on the headgear...my dad then calls me and lets me know about the deer so i send my other cousin up the road to work his way down the ridge and i cut across the canyon to cut any deer off that work their way back down...this ended up working perfect..when i got to the top of the ridge i couldnt see the does but everyone else could...i took 5 more steps and there he was...a nice forky standing there...i txt my dad where he was and he found him..put the cross hairs on him and the rest is history..one shot and he wobbled and fell over after 2 steps...we had him back to town and skinned by 11:30 and got showered and ready for my sons first birthday today...turned out to be a pretty awsome day!
