It was as slow as I've seen it in over 15 years of hunting Bald Mt. My son and I didn't see a single deer in two days of hunting. My brother saw a doe and a fawn and my dad was blanked also.
Talked to a couple other hunters and they hadn't seen a deer either. Only heard a couple shots. Was very surprised at the lack of hunters in the area.
Bluebird days, bright nights,no pressure to get animals moving. Just a tough weekend. :'( :chuckle:

There probably was a lack of hunters because many of them have read reports of the drastic decrease in the number of deer in that area, largely due to hair loss disease. Better hunting conditions may not have resulted in you seeing any more deer than you did. Hopefully you had a nice camping trip anyway! :)
