. I have the T3 lite stanless in 30-06. I hate to say this( let the hating begin :chuckle:) but the cheap rem core lokt in 150 gr shot great for me. The 180 gr groupd well too. I experimented with a lot of ammo

i shoot handloads threw mine. but we have used factory ammo threw it as well. i like the xp3 line from winchester. it shot them pretty darn good. it did not like the winchester power points. i had a old box of them laying around and it did not group well with them at all. every other handload i have shot it has shot super. hope this helps ya :IBCOOL:

I've only tried a couple different styles through my Tikka '06. The selection of ammo was terrible last summer when I bought it.
180gr Partitions from Federal were ok,but not spectacular. Accurate enough to hunt with, but thats it.
Tried some of Noslers loaded ammo, their trophy grade stuff,165gr Accubonds. Very accurate and worked well on the cow I shot last year.
I had intentions of trying some other stuff this year, but the Accubonds worked well so I never got around to it.

Try the cheap Rem Core Lokts, in 180 grain. YOu can find them everywhere, they shoot amazingly well out of most rifles, they are cheap, and they hold up well on all game animals. Don't buy into the need for a "premium" bullet out of the 06. That said, I handload 180 grain partitions in mine, and love them, and am looking into other premium bullets for my 06. But I know, with certainty, that the 180 core lokts are hard to beat. my handloads squeeze out a little more accuracy, and I do have more faith in the partition, but have yet to see a heavy for caliber core lokt fail on an animal out of an 06.
This year, I used a Sierra Game King in my 2506 Tikka, did a number on my muley, I'll have to post a pic of the "perfect mushroom" that it did.

I hand load nosler 165 partions. Hornaday SST grouped as as well.

I would try the 150 grain Hornady Customs with SST bullets with you can get they shoot great out of my tikka T3.

My tikka 7mm rem mag like the Nosler 160 accubonds and Hornady 162 sst.
