Title: Area 328
Post by: JNB on October 25, 2010, 08:14:00 PM
Was out scouting last weekend and got into a few promising looking areas (but didn't see any elk) but as life would have it I am not going to be able to hunt out there this season.  I'm really glad I spent the money on the license.  If anyone is new to the area and looking to some places to start, shoot me a pm, and I would be happy to give you some suggestions on where to start looking.  Since I wont be able to hunt there, at somebody else might be able to.

Also, I was frantically looking through the regs trying to see if anything is open in December when I have time off again and I noticed areas 163 and 1010 are open for bow hunting.  I haven't gotten my tag yet, so I guess I could possibly get out there for a few days.  I was wondering though, since 163 appears to be mostly private, what is the deal with 1010?  Does the fact that it is a special elk unit mean that you can not hunt it unless you draw a permit?  Or could I hunt it with just a normal archery tag?
