So... I'm gonna ask for some information, not for myself, but for my nephew whom I'll be hunting with this coming weekend.
He drew a watershed bull permit...his first time putting in for this unit my 7 or 8th time....
He's done some research but I would like to have my own info so I can combine with what he's got and be a little more "sure" of the info. I trust you guys :chuckle:
I know.. fog, steep, nice bulls... It's gonna kick my butt!
If anybody has some nuggets of info they would like to share it would be much appreciated!
Feel free to PM me if you want.
Oh, and I will be posting pics after the hunt!

When does the hunt start?
-
The hunt starts this coming Sat. He was on the "edge" a week or so ago listening to them bugle.

It has been a lot of years since I had that tag. At that time, the tag holder could not take any one into the watershed with them until they had gotten a elk. They could take only one unarmed person in to help pack out. Has that changed?
-
The rules have changed since then...don't quote me I haven't read them but I believe you can bring one in and have two help ya pack. He got the regs...I haven't seen them yet.

You can take someone with you unarmed while hunting, but they have to stay close to you. Allowed 3 people to help you pack out. Must be out within 48 hours of the kill. Good luck in there!

from what i know of the watershed (not a whole lot) watch the saddles... there's one in particular that produces, but i don't know where it is... i know, not a lot of help.
GOOD LUCK!
