Lets see some of the set up that you guys use at elk camp :IBCOOL:
-
I will post a pic next week....I bet you won't be jealous.
-
The reason Im asking this is because a friend and i are gonna buy a wall tent for elk camp, just wanna see what size everybody is using :hello:
-

Dang! Now that is a nice set up. Why buy a home. I would stay at camp
-
This is about as extravagant as it gets for my elk hunts, but it gets the job done. I used to have an old Starcraft tent trailer retrofitted with a wood stove. That thing was awesome! From an ice chest to hot house in 5 minutes!!
-
getting set up tonight! Ill post a pic later! :llam:
-
Thanks MHWASH that is the size we have been talking about :IBCOOL:
-
Bow4elk, How do you sleep in that little trailer? :chuckle:
-
My elk camp isn't anything special. It's my house. I live on the Mountain so all I do is walk out the door and I'm there :)
-
AAAA I DON"T see anything to shoot the elk with?????? :o
-
depends on the size of your group. we have 5 and just bought a 15 by 24 wall tent with a 15 by 12 cook shack sitting area off the front and it is awsome. got it in a outfit out of camas a little spendy but i gaurentee it will last us for life
-

and i wanna know how you trained that deer to climb out on a limb?
-
that is dum dum, he is my buddy on solo hunts to my secret area. he would hang out in my camp all day every day......not too smart. he is a baby for the area.
-
Did you put your bag into a bivy? Was it because you were worried about moisture or temp rating?

I use a western mountaineering down bag, it rained a bunch and I was not gonna risk it with no tent floor.
-
This year we decided to "rough" it... LOL Last year was a 7.5 mile packin... this year... well
-
NWBWhunter, I think I know where you were camped. My camper sat there last year when I had my Peaches Bull tag. Assume you know Matt.

Yep, right across from Matt and Roger. Drove by your camp a few times this year also. Last year I was packed into the Bumping..... here is a pic of that camp. right off of Indian Creek meadow

Any elk camp is a good elk camp!
-
Ya we are thinking about the 12x14 there will be four of us in it,
I would not go any smaller then 14"x16" for 4 people (mine is).
-
Thanks for the info guys now we are looking at the 14''x16'' to much room is better then not enough room right!!
