just hunted it for 3 days and didnt see an elk or fresh sign. cousin has a big bull tag and has been pounding it since last monday and hasnt seen an elk. seen two spikes hanging.

Why does everyone think that there is a ton of snow up there right now? There aint much unless you go really high.

theyve been starting high and usually hunting the canyons all the way to the bottom.

I think that is the best way to hunt that unit.

Hunted 342 for seven days, saw three cows on Monday morning. That's it.  Terrible year. I don't know where the elk were in 342, but there were not where I was. Tag soup when I got home.  :(
