I just weighed my pack, 38.6 lbs with my binos, food and 64oz water......going superlight for 3 days......hoping to come out of the NE corner with a bruizer.

Nice job - spotting scope in there or are you leaving that at home?

So, about 4 pounds of water, leaving a 34.6 pound pack with winter gear, 3 days of food, etc.  Pretty good.

no spotter. I am pretty sure the new edg's will tell me if it is worth the hump or not. I have wittled it down to the minimus everywhere except I added a mylar backed bubble sheet to insulate me from the snow......it is not going to be as cozy as my wall tent though.....lol.

I hope you have to make 6 trips out with twice that much weight :)

Good luck!

I hadn't thought of the bubble sheet.  Good idea.

I hadn't thought of the bubble sheet.  Good idea.

I left it at home on the opener of deer way up in the kettle crest. it hit 15* one night......I was having a tough time keeping the ground side warm. the year before I hunted the same hill and nevr got close to cold.....it makes a big difference for the 3 oz it weighs.
