Anybody have any experience with these? I read up on them but can't figure out how they are really any different than the regular Ballistic Tips bullets.
Any insight?
Thanks.

They are essentially a Ballistic Tip bullet with a (Lubalox) coating. On game performance is identical.
"CT Ballistic Silvertip® bullets combine all the features of Nosler Ballistic Tip® hunting or varmint bullets, but with the addition of an advanced Lubalox® external treatment that reduces fouling and creates less barrel wear to promote longer barrel life."

If they produce less barrel fouling and longer barrel life, why wouldn't they put that coating on all their bullets... doesn't make a lick of sense? Why would anybody shoot the ballistic tips at all if the Silvertips were exactly identical to the B-tips, except better for your gun?
That's what I read earlier. Apparently I'm not too bright, I don't get it :dunno:

its kinda one of those things. there is no need to shoot treated bullets. but do they help :dunno: they are supposed to. as far as the bullets go i love them myself. they have shot great in ever gun i have loaded them into. i handload and use them in my r-25 7mm-08 cfp 7mm-08 rem 700 25-06 and also load them for my cuzz in his r-25 in 308. they are a very good shooting bullet. great mid sized game bullet. a little light for the bigger game but they will kill them dead with a well placed bullet as well. like said the performance on game is the same, no difference. just to help barrel life.

Here's one for you!!!
Nosler BT and CT BT bullets are NOT Boat Tail bullets, aerodynamically speaking they are just an extended-rim bullet and perform EXACTLY like a flat based bullet!
Ain't that just a kicker???
The CT bullet is selling hype. Its just another way they get a few more dollars out of 'yer pockets. Sorry if you don't want to hear this....

it don't bother me :dunno: i have found them to be mid priced and a heck of a lot cheaper then my nosler par bullets :chuckle: and about the same as the nosler b-tips. i am a huge fan of boat tail and i reallt don't care what the back of the bullet looks like when the groups are small and they shoot good. i don't care if they are boat tail or flat base. :twocents:
