Got a call from my dad this mourning that he needed help. I new what that meant. He walked back behind his house and this little 3pt came walking in right at him. He said that he was only in the timber for less than five minutes before he put one through the throat of this buck.
All I have is this cell phone pic.

Your dad has killed more animals with a .44 mag, pistol and rifle, than anyone I know. Dandy buck. Where's the pic of your Unit 55 buck pal?

Thanks for the congradulations, folks :hello: I didn't realize BigShooter had posted it.
I was lucky on this one to a point, I knew he was hanging around as I watched him browsing through my garden on multiple occasions over the summer :o It just worked out that I was able to run across him and shoot him at a long 18 yards or so............. :chuckle:
As a gun guy I will mention the rifle is a 20" Marlin Cowboy in .44 and is mainly my summer packin'/hikin'/lots of shootin' rifle. Since the main load I use in my Ruger .44 special is fairly light, a 255gr RCBS PB and 7 1/2grs of Unique that is what I sighted the rifle in for, at about 1200fps from the rifle and 2" or less groups at 75 yards. It sure did the trick on this buck, it didn't know what happened.
