This flyer is for the Weyerhaeuser tree farms on the coast. I am guessing something similar is going to haned out at the St Helens tree farm as well.
NOTICE TO HUNTERS
The Eyes In The Woods Association Inc. (EITW) is working in cooperation with Weyerhaeuser Company and the WDFW to promote responsible public use of private timberlands.
You can make a difference by:
Following the landowners rules
Helping to keep the woods clean (Pick up trash, don’t leave it)
Respecting private property (Gates, Equipment and the Environment)
Reporting vandalism and violations (Non-Confrontationally)
Always Think and Act Safety!
Private forestlands are increasingly being closed to public vehicle access due to abuses. Areas that were frequented by hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts are closed, ending generations of traditional outdoor activities. Weyerhaeuser currently allows public access to their coastal forestlands and will continue to do so if we respect and follow their public access rules (See back for Weyerhaeuser rules).
The Eyes In The Woods Association Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to assisting the professionals that protect and manage our fish, wildlife, and natural resources. Our goal is to create a resource of trained citizen volunteers devoted to the protection and perpetuation of our fish & wildlife.
Our Property Watch program primary goals are to; 1) Open private timber/agricultural lands currently closed to public hunting and fishing access through a citizen based collaborative effort. 2) To assist with WDFW conservation closures. 3) To assist the WDFW with Public Access Site abuses.
Our efforts with the Weyerhaeuser management team are to retain public access to their coastal lands through increased public rule compliance and awareness. Garbage dumping, forest products theft and vandalism are threatening our access; become part of the solution, follow the rules and report violations.
EITW needs your help to continue and expand these efforts; we are currently looking for key volunteers willing to assist in project leadership, clean up projects, biological check stations and more.
Check out Website and Web-Calendar for more information.

Please follow the rules and pack some trash out. All the timber companies are getting very frustrated with the garbage, vandalism, and disrespect for the rules. While hunters are not the main problem a few do cause problems by driving off road, ignoring the dot system, and chucking garbage out the window. The area I hunted during MF deer had no beer cans or coffee cups along the road and on the landings prior to opening day. By the end it was apparent the Bush beer was very popular.
We are losing access at an accelerated rate. We the hunter can change this.

Eyes in the Woods had an info booth up at the old 19 mile camp at Kid Valley during deer season.I bet they will be there again for the elk opener.
If any of you guys hunt Weyco land.Thank the EITW guys. They have done a lot of hard work to make it possible.

There are already several camps in the Raymond/aberdeen weyco land. I would imagine they'll get run out although it wasn't enforced during archery season.
-
biggest one broken IMO is motor vehicles behind the gates, i swear 99/100 roads have dirtbike/quad tracks where the signs said no motor vehicles

Good to see proactive measures. I have applauded IEP in Spokane for years for the extent they go to in keeping their lands open to us hunters. Not to mention the crap they have to put up with while doing so (trash, dumping, gate pulling, animal poaching, timber theft, etc.).
-
It is amazing how many people don't know about or refuse to adhere to the rules of the dot system.

Used to hunt in Winston and Margaret in the 80's and 90's. Amazed at the crap left behind by slob hunters. It is not anyone else so lets not sugar coat it. I have seen whole travel trailers, huge shanty town type camps, and large amounts of trash left on the 500 line as though Weyerhaueser was the garbage man and would be by to pick it up like Waste Management. It was a progressive situation that followed the population boom of this State. Used to never hardly see another camp back in the 80's. This topic just fired me up this morning. Remember my Dad Thanks to Eyes and Weyerhaeuser for giving it a go.....
