Title: $$ per Lbs.
Post by: gramps on April 03, 2008, 07:06:44 AM
What would a price per lbs.for elk antlers be??   Say someone had several hundred pounds of branch antlers, not bleached by the sun and in good shape.  Any idea?
Thanks

Last I hread unbleached antlers were worth around 7-8 bucks a pound, but I don't know anyone who's sold any in probably the last five years so I could be way off.

It totally goes by the individual bone and the market.  I have seen it as low as $7 per pound and as high as $22 per pound.  If you have nice sets they can command an awesome price as well.

Thanks for the replies.
I don't have any for sale...have only actually went out looking three times for the first time this yr. and have two small whitetail antlers to show for it.  Have found a couple when hunting, but that is all.
I did, however, see an ad for a bunch and was wondering if I could pay for some diesel to go get them and sell them.  Probably not, but one never knows.
Thanks again.
