Looking at all the nice bucks shot this year is getting me siked. I'm hoping to set a new personal record with a buck from the Alta unit with my quality deer tag. Here is my best one so far. I shot him on slide ridge several years back.
-
Here he is mounted next to a small buck I shot above Banks Lake.
-
you can accomplish that goal as long as you can walk away from the one that is not going to best that one.
Why are the antlers so dark on the plaque?

Might be hard to beat. Thats a great buck. They are out there. Might have to risk tag soup, but enjoy every second of it.
-
They are dark because I had just wiped the dust off them for the picture. They are still wet in the picture. I really hope I can find his big brother. I have already decided to pass them all unless I think they are bigger. Maybe on the last day I will dump a smaller one if the opportunity comes up.

Thats the spirit!

Hope you are able to pull it off!

Good Luck, I hope you keep us posted. That is a great Mature buck!!!
-
Good luck. Can't wait for story and pics.
-
Good luck with your tag, hopefully you can kill a bruiser like you want.
-
teanawayslayer - I have the modern tag. Hoping for a little weather this week. I will be on the mountian again Friday and hunting till the end of the season. I think I saw that you have the same tag or is it the muzzy?
-
yeah it's a muzzy tag. Saw a couple bucks over there sat. The one good one I saw 3x4 with eye guards good buck but wouldn't beat that 5 you have in the pic. a little wider though.
