What part of 204 ? Riverside Cafe in Curlew for a steak or just a good dinner. Haven't heard alot about the whitetails. I have them in my yard, but I'm 18 miles from 204. Saw a muley in rut yesterday next door. One of my friends buddies shot a whitetail in the 105 and rattled it in. He said they're rutting but I haven't seen it yet. Had snow today, but melted so maybe that might help.

Swan Lake area I guess. I don't travel down that way too much since I live in Curlew. I have seen some nice Whitetails on the Cape LaBelle road. I don't know where the forest circus land is down there for sure. I know you'd run into it because it's pretty well marked.
Did you know Chesaw has a WDFW has a walk in area right out of town ? Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

These are in my yard.

I was up hunting 204 last weekend and saw a few rubs. It was way to warm and we didn't see much. Hoping this weather will get the deer moving. We are going back up this coming friday and staying through the 20th.

I was up on Boulder today bobcat hunting. It was 27, 1/2 inch of snow off the road. So I'm sure Bonaparte has snow on it also. I didn't see deer and a few tracks all the way down to the 6120 road. Saw more bobcat tracks than anything. Were supposed to have snow at 2000 feet. I'm at 2200................no snow yet !!!????

Saturday morning was spent getting to know the area better, I did jump a small buck. Then Saturday evening got fogged in, I tried calling with a bleat call and did call something in but couldn't see more than 30 yards in the fog and it winded me ,started blowing and blew out of there. hiked about 4 miles sunday morning, only saw a couple doe and had another blow at me. On the way home checked out a promising spot with good sign but it was midday and we saw nothing.

204 is loaded with deer. Hunters road hunt so it pushes the deer in the woods more. We saw more deer this year than any other year before.
