I just moved to the Skagit county area from California, I was just starting to get into hunting before I moved. I am looking for a new friend that might be looking for a new hunting partner that could show me the ropes.

Welcome.
I don't know much about that area, but here are a few links to get you started.
Fish and Game http://wdfw.wa.gov/
WA DNR http://www.dnr.wa.gov/
The new regulations should be out next month and permit applications will be due in June.

Welcome aboard
The hunting is good in the Skagit. There are a lot of hunters on this site from that area.
Check out the Walker Valley area. Been awhile since I been up there, but always saw lots of deer around Walker Valley and Cultas Mnt.

Well what are you looking to go after? If you are looking for blacktails, there is another site devoted to them, but I am sure you will find someone quickly, hunters have to stick together. :) That other site is http://s2.excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=8151
I am down on Camano Island, where are you located? Anyway good luck!!

Yea, but that site also has those little Sitka and the ugly Cali versions of blacktail. :yike:
