Great looking bucks, congrats to you both. :brew:

Nothing like friends to do all your work. Thanks Tom & Jason

Tom shot an awesome buck. Not bad for a public land buck, some where in Montana.
-
Congrats on a successful hunt looks like it was a lot of fun what part of montana were you in?

My muley was bedded down, dreaming of all the does he was going to do the tango with.
-
Why he looks dead to the world :chuckle: Nice bucks
-
Another view. I think he was 8-9 years old based upon his teeth. Really worn down. Also think the antler growth regressed a bit because of his age. Probably a really nice buck 2-3 years ago.
He really smelled from the rut and I ended up making sausage and jerky from him. He died chasing a hot doe. I guess there is no better way to go :chuckle:

Congratulations on your hunt, love the pics guys .How do you guys scout in Montana ? Or you just go?

Great pair of bucks. I'm envious. Gonna have to get back over there or Wyoming sometime soon with all these nice pics coming out.

We did some scouting before hand with maps and we had a local farmer out there help us out and point out general areas.
Would really help to get out and scout as there is a lot of country, private land, BLM, block management etc

AWESOME! I will make it someday

Pulled the muley up from the deep breaks near the water. Not fun
Drove up to the whitetail to retrieve. Near some coulees.
I'm shooting whitetails from now on, especially since I am getting older. Mule deer are too much work :chuckle:
