Well really hoping to get into some elk (of course) ... gonna leave from tacoma fri. night maybe early sat . morn... thought about trying back side of riffe... east end.... have a bike so and some fresh boots.. and ideas or tips... pms work too..... thanks!!!!

You're on the right track. Bike in behind the gates as far as you're willing then start burning up the boot leather. Good optics help, too. The elk get bumped all over because of the insane amount of pressure in the area. There's no substitute for time in the woods.

what im hoping is their wont be a bunch of timber employees back there with vehicles etc.

what side of the lake you talking about? the north or south? the weyerhauser gates on the south side are open, and the north side that is gated, is mostly ORM land, that is posted no trespassing.

Go and hunt on JStamp's hacienda above the lake. He has a couple of bulls staked out in his yard.
Don't ya Goldberg?
