Well My brother got this little 4x4 opening morning. I do have permission to post. this was 4 years in the making for him. this is his very first elk and he was to say the least very excited. he siad he and his hiking partner just came up on the herd grazing and was able to pop him at about 75 yards 1 shot right through the lungs and he dropped about 50 yards later. Not a very big bull But the freezer will be full of meat :IBCOOL: ;)

Which picture? the one he has on shorts holding the head with long johns undeneath?? :dunno: he gutted it and well us being the smart fellows we were thought we could just wrp the whole animal up on a 2x6 and drag it down the hill a quarter mile to the road to pack it back to camp whole. :bash: :bash: well that went over like a fart in a space suite and my little brother and our camp clown ran back to get the game bags and he changed, while i capped and quartered it. :)
