Title: Release site bird numbers???
Post by: Ellensburg on November 13, 2010, 04:54:21 PM
Does anyone know around how many birds are released per site??? I'm sure it varies from site to site but is it something like 100 birds, or 1000 birds? The sites around me are: cottonwoods, whiskey dick, crab cree, buckshot... I was just wondering about how many birds get placed out there.

Also, I know that most of the sites got birds released before the the youth hunt. Is that the only time that they will be releasing birds? Do they ever do mid-season releases?

Thanks

Over here on the West side it's about 40 to 60 per week.

I figured you guys got more birds than we do. 40-60 birds per week would be cool. At least you have a steady stream of decent numbers.
