Title: Oldsquaw, er, I mean long-tailed ducks....
Post by: lokidog on November 14, 2010, 04:40:44 PM
Saw the first one of the year last Thursday, and six more today.  Seems earlier than usual as I don't recall seeing them until December in the past.  Had 48 hooded mergansers swim by Friday, and have been seeing more buffleheads, scoters, and mallards.

Good luck to all the sea duck hunters.

IMHO is has not seemed like a stormier/colder fall this year..... Must be a colder start up north.....?

Saw two flocks of 30+ buffleheads this morning between the islands.
