Well I finally got out for the first time this morning and only made it 30 minutes after shooting light and I had to pack up..because I shot my limit :). Hadn't scouted my spot for about a month but there's usually birds there this time of year and the weather was perfect for the spot. Mainly I just wanted to get the dog out on a hunt and maybe pick off a few birds. There was birds flying everywhere this morning, didn't even have time to set out my dekes, just crouched down and pass shot. Fun shoot today and a good start to my season. The pictures didn't turn out too great in the field as all I had was my phone with me.

Looks like a great day. All drakes to boot. Were you selective on your shots?

you should put your name in the waterfowl contest! that'd be a pretty dang good score to start you off right there!
congrats on the awesome looking birds!

When I knocked down the first greenhead I couldn't really tell it was a drake, but when I got the first two drakes down I figured I would try and take all drakes today cause the birds were all over me the whole morning. In fact when I was packing up to leave I turned to see two drake widgeon come buzzing by at about 10 yards..fun day..
