Post by: boneaddict on April 08, 2008, 10:41:05 AM: I didn't. I didn't try real hard either. The plan was to go to the NE corner and hunt moose sheds. We got to LoonLake and it was froze solid and the hills were getting whiter and whiter. It was a family Spring break trip, so I took a left and ended up at Banks. Steamboat is a great state park. Luckily, I threw in one rod and the bikes. I think the water was too cold for bass and I didn't find the bluegill or crappie. I was flyfishing from shore, no boat. The Carp weren't even moving much. I think there must have been a BASS tourny going on, but didn't see them catching anything either. I saw a guy pull out one big Walleye.

Post by: MountainWalk on April 08, 2008, 04:06:01 PM: thats a very pretty scene, my friend. gosh, i havnt bass fished in many years. i grew up bass'n in ar. when i lived in seattle(ugghh) i did do some smallmouth fishing in lake wa.. did fairly well.. found some nice points and gravel flats,, but i really needed a boat to make the most of it. thanks for the pic. i wish i had some of your skill or gear to make some decent pics

Post by: boneaddict on April 13, 2008, 06:56:21 PM: Banks Lake, just before you get to the check in Ranger station on the way to Steamboat Rock State Park. Here's a sidenote, you guys saw my waterfall pics last year of Devils Punchbowl. It was dry this year, even with all of the snowpack. :dunno:

Post by: coonhunter on April 15, 2008, 04:21:14 PM: Ya bank lake is one of my favorite place to go when I was in highschool, I went over there every year summer. It was BLAST time there. Even beauitful out there. I havent gone there for almost 4 years. I miss it.. :)

Good job Boneaddict with those pictures I wish I was there barefoot behind boat.

Bone, try HDR process (if you shot it in RAW) to see if you can bring out the clouds and rainbow.

It frickin whiped my computer. I didn't shoot these in RAW, at least I don't think I did. I was going to start playing with some stuff though. ANyhow, working on trying to get my computer back. I lost everything including my CS2 and elements6. : (

Great pics as usual. You have an eye for detail and getting great shots, starting to the think maybe its a genetic thing.....what my eye see's and what ends up on the camera...usually looks like it was taken from a second grader.
