I just need a few suggestions on where to hunt in these areas since I haven't hunted in either of these locations before. Any suggestions on where to hunt would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I cannot wait to hear the replies for this one. I would delete and read previous posts. Good luck

theres always 212th st nw stanwood. Theres a old gravelpit, that they have logged all the timber off about 5-6 yrs ago. Buse timber area. Its a huge area, and there are some bucks in there. Not too far of a drive from Marysville.

what are you hunting for?

6 posts and every one is asking for guidance on where to hunt. This site is an awesome resource for help, but don't expect too much if you're ONLY on this site to find a hunting spot. Try and post some pics or stories or something and you might get better results. I'm not trying to be rude, I've just noticed that people are more willing to help if you put a little something into the forum. Good luck.

Thanks alot Longknife for the tip. I will be giving that place a try. Wish me luck

I would suggest hunting Whidbey Island. I know for a fact that the opportunity for big deer is great and it is a little known secret. People usually don't think about going and hunting a island but that is what has made the deer hunting on Whidbey Island so excellent. Go it em.

Hunting you will be doing, for an area with no hunting signs.

There are lots of deer and big bucks on the Island, largest blackie i missed was one whidbey. Try Houston rd and hwy 20 area thats where it happend. He was at least 25 in wide and 6 to a side. Lots of people had run ins with him, he always stealthed his way out of trouble.

There are definately a lot of deer on this island. If you have somewhere you can hunt on the island, you really should give it a try. I took a really nice 4x4 off the island last year and my son took his first buck this year. I'll be hunting here during late archery.

Houston Rd. and hwy 20? How did you get to hunt that area? I have seen atleast 3 different big bucks along the road right there and one of my buddies almost smoked what he said was a "monster" in his his truck a couple of weeks ago. I would love to hunt that area but i haven't been able to figure out who owns the property to go and ask for permission.

Its been a while, timber co. used to own it. I don't live on island any more. The north east side is what I'm refering to. It's probably overgrown now.

Thanks alot Boss .300 winmag. I'll check it out

Hey patton1 since you live on the island, I take it that there really isn't much public land to hunt on?
-
No problem, thats my old Island honey hole. Just want to see pics if you get one. See everybody, letting some one in on a honey hole is easy.
-
Yeah I will definately post some pics if I get lucky this weekend. I am determined to get one no matter what the weather is like. :)
-
Good luck with that.

No, it's mainly private. There are a couple of public areas on the island. Search "whidbey" on this site and it will bring up some helpful posts. Good luck.
