Title: Late Buck - 60 yrs ago !
Post by: Magnum_Willys on November 19, 2010, 07:25:54 AM: Some relatives in Carson, WA in 1950 . I assume these were Klickitat bucks though I know hunters in those days used to drive all the way over to the Blues on occasion.

Hunters those days knew if it had a red hat or checkered shirt it wasn't a buck, didn't have to be wrapped in florescent orange.

Notice the old metal tags, looks like they have the round locking nob before they went to the flat metal locking system. Does anybody know what year they changed? Is there anybody besides me that hunted with the old round ones?

Before my time - but we used the same tags on beaver pelts if I recall in the late 70's.

That's interesting, I'm sure they changed to the flat metal for deer like in the mid to late 50s.
