Title: Cougar "rut"? LOL
Post by: charlesbearden1 on November 20, 2010, 09:57:48 PM: What time of the year do cougars go into heat??? Probably a dumb question but Im new to them.

Cougars are solitary animals, with the exception of 1 to 6 days of associations during mating and periods of juvenile dependence.
A female mountain lion can come into heat any time of the year. It usually lasts about nine days.

A word of caution for the older cougar hunters...Any pursuit that keeps up for more than 4 hrs,it would be wise to seek medical help..and learn the art of ring toss
