Is that a good trail camera?
-
I see they also have the Garmin 60 Csx GPS for $199.99. :o
That's probably a good deal on the trail camera, but I'm waiting for the Wildview's to go on sale at Cabelas and I'm going to pick up 3 or 4 when they do. (hoping to get them for $40 each)
-
do the wild views work good? What you like about them?

Some are better than others. But the cheap ones work ok for me when I want to put them in high human traffic areas.

$120 at Amazon.

To be honest, I think most of the cameras are towards the "junk" end of the spectrum. That's just reality. I've tried models from nearly every manufacturer, including some of the $300+ models. After some use you can count on having problems of one sort or another from most of them.
That said I'd buy the cheap models, and plan on replacing them every year. This looks like a good deal.

Thanks for the info..

Do you think the prices on them will drop that low? I sure hope so, I'd definitely do the same
Was looking at the Garmin as well, sweet looking deal

I don't think they will get down to $40 each again. That is what I paid earlier in the year for the 2 meg flash cam. Now it seems like the low end is a 3 meg infrared at $150 for a two pack.

Have you been happy with these? The reviews that users are giving do not make them sound great.
I am merely wanting something functional and dependable. Doesn't have to shoot hi-res photos. I just want to make out, buck, doe, cat, yote, bear, etc...As long as it takes the pic and it is clear enough to distinguish, then I am happy.

I have been extremely happy with mine. I had a 1.3 meg cam that went bad and I returned it for a 2 meg. Then I bought two more of the two megs for $40 each.
The photo quality is not the greatest but they work great and I can tell the diff between a buck and doe or yote and bobcat.
