Title: Who is heading out Turkey Day?
Post by: FALFire on November 24, 2010, 08:13:47 PM: Anyone other than me going calling tomorrow, Thursday morning?

One of my local ranchers asked me to get busy on the dogs right away. My wife said she might even tag along with me on this trip, she has yet to knock a dog over this season.

I couldn't get anything to come into the Foxpro, which surprised me given the weather and it's been a year and a half since that area has been called.

I think part of it was impatience on my part. I should have waited longer to actually start calling after I walked in. Something I learned years ago in Alaska is that the sound of walking on dry snow carries for a LONG ways. I may give it another go tomorrow morning and wait for a half hour or so before I start calling.
