Anyone other than me going calling tomorrow, Thursday morning?
One of my local ranchers asked me to get busy on the dogs right away. My wife said she might even tag along with me on this trip, she has yet to knock a dog over this season.
Good luck to those that brave the extreme cold.

I'M heading out for a while.

Heading out in a few hours to try out my new Flextone Echo! Seriously hoping this actually brings a critter or two in
My hand-calls seem to be an amazingly effective deterrent :chuckle:

I headed to a friends farm that is within walking distance of my house already this morning. I couldn't get anything to come into the Foxpro, which surprised me given the weather and it's been a year and a half since that area has been called.
I think part of it was impatience on my part. I should have waited longer to actually start calling after I walked in. Something I learned years ago in Alaska is that the sound of walking on dry snow carries for a LONG ways. I may give it another go tomorrow morning and wait for a half hour or so before I start calling.
Good luck to those that brave the weather today, and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Just finished feasting and plan to call a stand or two before dark. Have to let the dinner settle a little first.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
