It'll probably be raining tomorrow, in SW washington, what are the elk going to be doing?  Up moving and feeding or hunkered down waiting for the rain to pass?

Elk have to eat.  They spend about twelve hours a day on and off ruminating and most of the rest eating.  Just have to find the ruminating (bedding area) or the eating area or the place they travel in between.  Sometimes if not stressed they will do all the above in the same area.
