I'm looking to hunt the Monroe/Duvall area, and want to increase my chances of success by gathering some tips on where to focus. Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance.

Hi. Who are you? How long have you been hunting? Anything to tell the board about yourself before asking for their help? A little info on your part can help others give you some info back. Welcome to the board.

the best type I can give is use the "gohunt" program on the wdfw website and find some public land. Then go check it out and find sign. Not alot of migration in that area so outside of the rut the animal behavior should be similar year round. good luck

My oversight...a little about myself before I ask for advice!
I'm Hendrik, and I'm new to archery hunting. I've been out twice before, in Winthrop and near Mt. Ranier. Saw lots of mule deer does and only a few whitetails in Winthrop; saw a herd of elk near Mt. Ranier. Didn't get a shot off either time.
The friend I normally go hunting with is out by Cle Elum and has been out there since Thursday. I've opted to stay local and only recently came across this website while searching for any internet posts on hunting the Monroe/Duvall area. Any advice would be appreciated.

I was looking at some state land near Lake Roesiger. When I got there the sign on the locked gate said no shooting. AND no harassing of the wildlife. :chuckle: I was not able to find any suitable land near monroe. Never did try towards Duvall. Good luck.

theres not a whole lot of good land over that way, mostly private. Taylor mountain is a much better bet for archery, its either sex
