Heres what the sale add says: Precision engineered in West Germany, the BEEM meat grinder is powered by a high efficiency, ultra-compact, continuous duty motor. A gear-driven feed screw gives more torque and optimum grinding speed. Comes complete with 1 3/16 plate. 2/3 HP 110-Volt motor, air cooled. Die-cast aluminum epoxy coated housing and stainless steel tray. A quick release lever allows for fast easy clean up and a also a handle for easy carrying.
PM me if you are interested, he is asking $300.

Tom,
Definately not what you want. This unit is far from a commercial product.

I agree, a very small "Commercial" grinder starts with 2hp motor, 220v, #32 head.

Yep.. 220 is the way to go.

Last year I bought a 1HP cabelas unit that serves my needs pretty well.

Have you made any sausage out of this years buck?

Grinder is sold! We bought a 1hp cabelas last year as well and are more than happy with it. We grinded up around 650lbs of elk and deer meat and that grinder didnt break a sweat.

Just curious but what difference does the weight of the head make? :dunno:
I bought the Cabelas 3/4 for $280 from the bargain cave. It was brand new and only had a damaged box. :IBCOOL: I would recommend at least the 3/4, and possibly the 1hp if you can afford it or find a good deal.

The 32 is a size (No 32). Here is a link that explains it a bit. Commercial grinders often use #42 and #52 heads.
