This is a trail cam pic from a buddies property we had him 8 feet broadside in front of us today and my buddy got the sling from his muzz stuck on the chair he was sitting in which caused this giant to blow out he is just upset with him self tonight
-
nice buck. Tell your buddy I feel his pain. Had a nice 6x6 blow out on me also :(

Unless he goes back and kills it, that's one that's gonna haunt him for the rest of his life...

Don't feel too bad.....I had a 30"+ solid 180" 4-point muley at 117 yards on a late muzzy hunt the other day. He is not dead. >:(

Did you pass him up JJ? (Forgive me, I've gotta ask, after you let go that monster in your Avatar in Idaho last year..) :chuckle:

Nope, just messed up.
That is a sweet WT!

What a beast! I am guessing you guys are hunting out of a ground blind. I bet your buddy doesn't leave his sling on while sitting anymore.
-
he was back on camera same time today so were gonna go after him tomorrow
-
:bash: Dam the luck, keep after it you'll get another chance

Good luck. Hopefully give you a second chance

Time to go back chest out, Tiger look and ready....kill this deer. good luck. :)

during my incentive hunt, I had a buck at around 300 yards I missed twice. He was far away, but he made the one I ended up shooting (scored 184) look not so big. hopefully he gets another shot at him but the opportunity is the rush in hunting for me. Much more so then the harvest.
p.s. don't get me wrong, I love meat!

That sucks. It is so frustrating to do everything right just to get screwed by the smallest detail.
I agree. Get back at him. Something good may just happen.
Anyone else not have a sling on their rifle?

Haven't had a sling on my rifle in 4 or 5 years. Don't need it, can't shoot anything with your rifle hanging off your shoulder anyway, and it's just something to make noise, get hung up, etc. If it's not in my hand, it's dark out and it's attached to my backpack for carrying.

Well we went after him again today but ma nature had differnt plans like dumping 7 inches of snow on us in the 8 hours sitting in the blind nothing movin today except a couple does hopefully tomorrow the weather will break to top it all off the roof of the blind collapsed WITH US INSIDE awesome lucky for us the fabric didnt rip
