I have gotten most of my deer in the early season, but went out with my dad on his late muzzy hunt last weekend and had a great time with him getting a 3x4 whitetail. So it got me wondering if you guys get more deer in the early seasons or the late seasons no matter what weapon you hunt with.

late season archery
I love to hunt the late season in the snow. I always see more bucks in the late season and tracking is much easier.

only shot 1 deer early season and it was my biggest buck, just happened to be on the same trail and he didn't know I was behind him. I love the Snow and the blacktail seem to just stand arround in it. shot 16 deer in the snow or just below the snow in my honey holes.

Actually even in both seasons. See WAY more in the early archery season though.

Always early season. never got one in late buck

Well after this buck, taken on the 10th, I've tipped to the late season side.

I've shot a few deer in Sept but mostly in Nov and Dec. I think its because I focus on elk hunting more in Sept.

like august the best.

I've gotten just about all of my biggest deer during the late season. Hell, I don't even start hunting deer until November anymore.

killed more deer during early season but late season is more fun, something about freezing your a** off in 2 feet of snow waiting for a buck that makes it so much better
-
i dont even get pumped up till its cold wet and nasty thats when i kill all my blk tail bucks

I'm about even I think... I hunted with modern and liked the 4 day late season better for BT.... With a ml I like the early season better for bench legs or md...
