The next meeting for the WWPHA is scheduled for January 8th at Cabela's again. It will be in the same meeting room off to the right of the deli starting at 12:00 noon and running the duration. Along with some Association business, this month we are having a field / R&D representative from FoxPro coming to do a presentation on E-callers, field work, hand calls, set-ups and other associated items. Again, as with the Rainshadow presentation, we are accepting requests for topics to be covered as they will be forwarded to Jerry for his preparation.
This will be posted on several sites so seating may become an issue again although I am working with Arlen (Cabela's special events mgr) on getting both rooms and store front advertising.
You can learn more about the Western Washington Predator Hunting Association (WWPHA) by visiting their website at WWPHA.com

Thanks Carl , appreciate the vote of confidence.Going to be focused more for the beginner caller , but im sure there will be a few things some more experienced guys will be able to use , Ill be covering the use of E callers with and without the use of hand calls as well . It will be howling season by then so i plan to do a in depth segment on howling as well .

Well, it is still early December and this session is starting to form up well. Sounds like it is going to be a very informative seminar.
Jerry: As you think of things you may need, let me know.
John: Did you get the info I sent you?

I am really impressed with how far you guys have come in the past year. Great job, I know it must be a lot of work to sustain that growth and put on some great meetings.

Glad to see more new members!!!!!!!
Now that the big game seasons are wrapping up. We will be doing our buddy hunt drawings at the meetings. Great way to meet other members. And see different ways to get after 'em.
-
Adnahoundsman: Thanks for all of your help... p/s: call me
Glad to see all of our new members here also..
tlbradford: Thanks for the compliment. I did not do this alone, it took a great base group of guys all helping out. Yes it has been a lot of work but is "hunting" really work? We have become a group of sportsmen and women enjoying the sport and helping new hunters enter the field. It has been fun also...

Just got a run down of the material to be covered by Jerry at the January meeting and I am PUMPED ! ! It is going to be exciting. There will be a lot of good information for the new hunter and I am sure there will be some tips for the seasoned "pro" that will refresh the memory. I am really looking forward to it.

Just got a call from Cabela's about our "meeting" and they are going to give us both rooms for extra seating. But the bad news is it is supposed to only seat 60 people (combined) so if you are intending to come and see Jerry and FoxPro, better get there early. It really should be a great "meeting". I'm stoked ! ! ! See ya there.

Just a suggestion from someone who has been to large meetings in those rooms. Set up in "landscape" mode from the enterance with the speaker set up in the middle of the room rather than "portrait" as we have in the past.
Combined, the rooms are long and the folks in the back will not be able to hear if set up like the last few meetings.
-
Great idea, I will get there to help set up and see what we can do..
-
I don't think there will a problem hearing me , i can blow a howler pretty dang loud :chuckle:
Seriously , I am really looking forward to this seminar . Its going to be a lot of fun, and a ton of great information and techniques, maybe a few you have never heard of .
Ill have all the FoxPro callers on display so you can see the diffrent models available.
Also the complete set of FoxPro mouth calls available and how to use them .
we will discuss the proper way to locate coyotes ,
tracking
selection of stands and how to approach the areas
Camo and ghillie suits
Electronic and mouth blown calls and working them together for a successful stand
Coyote body language.
Howling
the seasons and how they effect calling .
I Hope to see you all there and put some faces with some names .

Ill be there. I have never hunted coyotes I never gave it much thought, but that is what i said about waterfowel until I went for the first time, and now its a addiction.
-
I will be there with bells on!
-
:)OK grundy I am counting on the bells!! :chuckle: that is Saturday at Cabelas. Noon!! I wanna go just to pick on Jerry.LOL
geeez along time ago, I just started calling, I am thinking 15 years? Jerry and Curt Barrett put on a camp out hunt contest north of Goldendale. At that contest Jerry and Curt put on a demo of mouth calls, with standard over the counter calls, of coyote howls, yips etc. I was impressed. I took out Redrider, Krusty's brother the next day and called his first coyote in. Was way cool!
Anyway that meet was the start of an addiction :P that I can blame on Jerry! and Bearmanric! and Curt! I now have 2 electronic calls(sold 2), 100(or so) mouth calls, 3 coyote rifles, I drive thousands of miles each year.............hunt at least three states.
wait a minute I think I ought to sue them all!! :chuckle: it is the most fun, interesting sport, challenging thing I have ever done.
