Title: Late Anterless Elk Hunt in the Marengo

probably not, all private and a lot of the roads are closed for the season.

There are a few and very few small herds of elk in there but it's open private land so it's a tough hunt.

We've hunted it a lot for the late season and it's more of just a trip to get out of the house.

There's a section of state land that I tromp around on, but the elk are lucky that they don't frequent it also. I do enjoy having a reason to get out, though: even if that reason is that I didn't get anything in the regular season.

I have some private land permission and a cabin reserved at the Last Resort KOA. I would like to head down there Wed afternoon and hunt Thursday through Sat. Let me know if you have any interest.
