Post by: duckhunter on December 14, 2010, 11:34:47 AM
a farm store was going out of bussiness the other day and i decided to look in the dumpster and guess what i saw?? 3 of those tick rubber mats for my new dog kennel and my new female black lab coming into my family! the thing is after moving all the garbage around i got the mats and there was some garbage juice and coffee all over them. how would all you guys clean and sanitize these mats??? i want them all clean before my dog starts laying on them and always being around them?? power wash them? leave them the way they are?? hose them off??  :dunno:

it was kinda fun dumpster diving for something i way going to buy  :chuckle:

I would power wash and then spray on a 10% bleach solution if you're really worried.  Power wash again to remove the bleach.

+ 1, if you don't like the idea of bleach............simple green or citrus based natural cleaner,or Nolvasan disinfectant.

I would power wash and then spray on a 10% bleach solution if you're really worried.  Power wash again to remove the bleach.

Simple green is the safest and probably as good as anything else you will use.

Spray with simple green the rinse with some boiling water.

Or got a buddy at a restaurant? The dish washing water is just under boiling.
