Title: Spring Bear vs. Fall Bear
Post by: chrisb on December 14, 2010, 04:36:44 PM: If i were to apply for and get drawn for a spring bear permit, and then by some ridiculous stroke of luck also get a bear in the spring, can i still harvest one come Fall season as well? If so do I need to buy a second bear tag to do so?

Post by: trophyhunt on December 15, 2010, 07:16:25 AM: I have drawn for the spring bear 3 times and killed 3 bears over on the east side, that hunt is my favorite hunt. The spring bears are out in the open more than the fall and their hides are twice as nice. I will be applying again this year but after drawing last year the odds are against me. Last year my dad and I drew as partners and we killed two bears in one day, the first one was shot at 550 yards in the morning and the last one at 350 yards on the evening hunt. Yes we slept good that night, after we got to bed about 2 am. Can't wait for the draw results!!

I've only drawn once. I agree it is a great hunt. Hope to draw again this spring.

No we only put in for the blues, I would think the ne corner would be good though.
